In the Greatest City in the World

During her trip to New York, Grace checked out the new Whitney Museum.

She enjoyed the video installations most of all, of course.

She also appreciated some outdoor public art.  (She recognized Anne Frank on that cell phone.)

On Saturday, she marched with some 400,000 mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, fathers, husbands, brothers, and sons in the Women's March through the streets of Manhattan.

She was pretty excited to be a part of it.

After participating in the march, Grace took a rest in Times Square.  I don't know how she's able to sleep in the noisiest environments.

 The lollipop was well-deserved.

The Jetsetter

Grace took time out from her busy L.A. schedule to travel to the Big Apple.  Here, she climbed aboard Balto, the hero dog of Alaska lore, who stands proudly in Central Park.

She literally poked fun of Uncle Scott while walking the High Line.

She played the scamp under a statue of a cat.

She visited a skyscraper, the name of which she wouldn't tell me.

And she made a couple of trips to Central Park, just to run around and hang out.

Climbing on public art was a favorite activity.

Oh, and she scored a last-minute ticket to a little show called "Hamilton."

A Zoo Kind of Day

We had the day off to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr., so we decided to spend it outside at the Los Angeles Zoo with about half of the city.

We started with the prairie dogs.  We got right inside their habitat to see what their lives are really like.

Then we checked out some real animals, like this chimpanzee.

And I don't know what this is.

But a great time was had by all.

Merry Christmas!

We hope you got to spend time with people you love.

I couldn't wait to see what was inside this package, so I tore through the side.

A cement mixer!

A digital camera!

Lego construction vehicles!

A teepee!

A new hideout for Grace and me!

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all!

Thanks, Florida.

After a couple of days in Miami, we drove across the state to visit with Farmor and Dave.

I enjoyed a little Gulf Coast beach time.

And danced in the ocean.

I spent a lot of time in the pool, telling people I know how to swim, even though I don't know how to swim.  No bigs.

Grace and Mom put on a show -- as they so often do.

And we celebrated Thanksgiving at Farmor and Dave's place.  Cheers!

Bienvenido a Miami

Our family jetted off to Florida for the Thanksgiving break.  We started off with a couple of days in Miami.

Here, Grace presents our hotel room balcony.

I found some time for a little construction work, as I always do.

 Grace posed for some photos.

Somebody buried me in the sand, which I always enjoy.

And Grace and Mom lounged on the beach for a while.  It was very relaxing.
