Weekend Update

I ran into my old comedy buddy Seth Meyers at the Cisco Brewery this afternoon.  I held out my hand for a shake, but as you can see he just kept his hand in his pocket.  No matter, I still think he's funny.
I also tossed back a cold one -- milk, of course -- with my dad.

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted

All my swim lessons are really paying off.  I arrived on Nantucket and ran as fast as I could to the beach so I could jump in the ocean.

I could barely control my excitement.

Oh, who am I kidding?  I couldn't control my excitement.  I was in the water for as long as my parents could stand it.  And then I went in the water some more.

I think it was Ben's first time at the beach and in the sun; he was so pale he looked like a ghost.  He's kind of ridiculous, as I've said many times before.

I finished my beach afternoon making angels in the sand, the summer version of my favorite snow creation.

On the Move

You caught me.  While my mom and Grace were reading The Phantom Tollbooth this evening, I snuck out of my room.

I headed for the door, pulling with my arms.

I made my way down the hall.

 And around the corner.

Success! I made it all the way to the bathroom before anyone noticed.

Summer Reading

Has anyone else out there read this Game of Thrones stuff? I happened upon it by the pool this weekend and couldn't put it down.

 The storylines are delicious.

Uncle Scott suggested that it might be a little too violent for me, but I reminded him that I have a big sister who makes King Joffrey look like Mickey Mouse.  Every day is the Red Wedding in my house.

A Crazy Kind of Me

I've been pretty wild today.  I attended my first Chuck E. Cheese birthday party, so that may have had something to do with it.

I've been jumping and spinning and jumping and spinning.  I can't seem to stop myself.

Is there any more candy?  I need to re-energize!

I'm a Swinger

OK, so I'm a first-timer.  But it's amazing.  Is it true that there are parties based on this?

To quote the radio-friendly version of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's "Thrift Shop," this is something awesome!
