On a Downtown Train

I took my first train ride today. I got a little fired up about it, as you can see.

Grace and our pal Zoey joined me for a trip to the L.A. County Museum of Natural History.

Here's proof that we paid the admission fee.

Sometimes it seems to me that Grace is as old as the dinosaurs.  Here, she's just pretending to be one.

I tried to take a shortcut to the gardens, but I couldn't jimmy the lock.

This stick dwelling was kind of cool, but it seemed impractical, even for Los Angeles.

Grace took time out to do a silly pose for the camera.

Then she got back to her mission of discovering things with her new binoculars, which she is obsessed with.

The Many Faces of Grace

This is the one that says "Don't cross me!  I will crush you!"  Don't worry, Grace was only acting for this photo, though her parents have seen this face many times for real.

Grace can also be super cute.  Was she only acting for this one?  Who knows?  She's that good.

And sometimes Grace likes to take some time out to just think about things.  This is her contemplative look.

Portrait of an Artist

I'm a big fan of works of crayon on paper.

It really is the most expressive medium for me.

I don't think I'm quite ready to contribute a piece to the Venice Art Walk auction, but I checked out the work of some other fine artists.

And Grace and I had a great time in the garden area at Google, hanging out in a hammock and listening to live music.  How do I get a job at this place?
