Memorial Day

Yesterday was Memorial Day, so I had the day off from school.

I visited with my pal Zoe in her new digs. Then we got coffee and spent some time horsing around at a nearby park. (I think I have that same top, Zoe. It looks cute on you.)

I took a moment to reflect on the lives of those lost serving our country.

Then it was back to climbing.

Later, I reflected some more.

Traveling, Part VI

Grampy took me plant shopping at Bartlett Farm.

It was an interesting place, but I really wanted to run around and get into stuff.

Later, I got into the playhouse, where I found a few toys.

I was in my element.

But soon I would be flying back to California.

On Deck

In case you weren't already aware, I spent a few days on Nantucket last week.

I checked out some boats in the harbor. I'm available if anyone wants to take me sailing.

I obeyed this sign and stayed on the inside of the railing.

I'm not saying whether I obeyed this sign, but I did think it was hilarious.

Jumper

Cousin Julia invited me over to play in her jumpy-thing. I don't know how she knew it's one of my favorite activities.

I'm still kind of figuring it out.

Grammy was my spotter. Thanks for keeping me safe, Grammy.

Here I got some big-time air. Everybody jump!

Holding Pattern

People like to hold me. It's as if they think I'll get into trouble or something if left to my own devices. But I guess we'll never know, because someone is always holding me. Check out the evidence below.

Cousin Haley... holding me.

Aunt Alison ... holding me.

And Cousin Lindsey... holding me. Cousin Julia did it too, but somehow Dad missed that photo op. Truth be told, I don't really mind; I actually like it.

Traveling, Part II: Fenway!

Uncle Scott took me to Fenway Park to see the Red Sox play the Orioles.

We rode the bus to get there; I was really excited.

But the weather was terrible, and the Red Sox were losing badly for much of the game. I was not amused.

But then something inside of me moved, so to speak, and at that moment the game turned. After a diaper change, the Sox poured on the runs. Then Adrian Gonzalez hit a double in the bottom of the ninth that drove in the winning run. And that is the story of the "rally poop." It was a great night. Thanks, Uncle Scott!

Traveling, Part I

I've been on vacation in New England for the past week, so here's a recap of some of my activities.

I checked out boarding school in Connecticut. It's never too early to start planning your future.

I rode on my mom's shoulders, ...

in the trunk of a car*, ...

on a scooter, ...

and on a tractor.

I tried to read to a cat named Lexi, but she wasn't much interested.

I could get used to this place.
* I didn't actually ride in the trunk of a car, but I did get my diaper changed in there a few times.

Gracie, Take the Wheel

That's right! While no one was looking, I hopped into the driver's seat and took the wheel. Get outta my way!

How do you turn this light off? It's distracting.

I know I should be keeping my eye on the road, but so what? At least I'm not texting.

My New Bike

Freedom!

Catch me if you can!

I have to admit something: On Sunday, I knew that the Lakers lost game four in their playoff series with Dallas, but what I did not realize was that that meant the end of the Lakers' season. For my entire life the Lakers have been NBA World Champions. And now they won't be. Depressing.

Everybody Into the Pool!

Happy Mother's Day!

As my Lakers were getting blown out of the water, I decided to get into it. I set up my new pool and hopped in.

At first, the water was pretty cold, but the sun warmed it up and I didn't really care about the temperature so much. Also, I may have peed. Don't tell.

Anyway, I was having a great time splashing around ...

... until someone insisted on washing my hair. I think my hair looked pretty good (see previous photos), but someone accused me of smearing hummus in it earlier in the day. Maybe I did. So what?

Tip #1

Here's a tip for all of you out there who like to eat:

If you can't keep yourself from smearing food in your just-washed hair, put on a big floppy hat that completely covers your head.

It's a nearly flawless plan. You're welcome!
