Merry Christmas!

We hope you got to spend time with people you love.

I couldn't wait to see what was inside this package, so I tore through the side.

A cement mixer!

A digital camera!

Lego construction vehicles!

A teepee!

A new hideout for Grace and me!

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all!

Thanks, Florida.

After a couple of days in Miami, we drove across the state to visit with Farmor and Dave.

I enjoyed a little Gulf Coast beach time.

And danced in the ocean.

I spent a lot of time in the pool, telling people I know how to swim, even though I don't know how to swim.  No bigs.

Grace and Mom put on a show -- as they so often do.

And we celebrated Thanksgiving at Farmor and Dave's place.  Cheers!

Bienvenido a Miami

Our family jetted off to Florida for the Thanksgiving break.  We started off with a couple of days in Miami.

Here, Grace presents our hotel room balcony.

I found some time for a little construction work, as I always do.

 Grace posed for some photos.

Somebody buried me in the sand, which I always enjoy.

And Grace and Mom lounged on the beach for a while.  It was very relaxing.

Go, Redd Foxxes!

Another soccer season is coming to a close for Grace.  Her team was really strong and they played against some fierce competition.  Although I found the games to be super-boring, Grace really seemed to enjoy her time on the field.

Halloween Again

Here's the recap of this year's Halloween.  If my costume looks familiar, well, I decided to repeat from last year.  The uniform still fits, and I look great in it.

If Grace's costume looks familiar, well, ditto for her.

Both of our schools had costume parades.  Here's Grace with some of her classmates marching around the playground.

Grace got her makeup refreshed for the evening's trick-or-treating.

We headed out with our friends Smith and Zoe and their minions.

I ran into my good friend Egan, which was a real treat for me.

As the evening slipped into night, it was time to count our candy and head home.

Harvest Fest

The county put on a free Halloween event at one of our nearby parks, so Grace and I had to get in on that.

We did a lot of pumpkin-gathering.

I loaded and unloaded the trailer of this tractor many times.  Many times.  I mean, I could have done that all day.  I practically did do it all day.

I really enjoyed some Mexican street corn when I took a break from pumpkin-gathering.  Delicious!

I also took a ride down the inflated slide.  Yee-hah!

Grace checked herself out in a mirror after she got a shooting star painted on her face.

Then she went incognito to experience the haunted ships docked in the harbor.  Sorry, Grace, if I gave you away.

Legoland Adventures

A couple of weeks ago, we headed down to Legoland to see what that place is all about.

Turns out, it's about all things Lego.  Grace posed for a photo with Wyldstyle.

Then she hung out with a sculpture of one of her spiritual mentors.

There were a lot of Star Wars Legos, obvs.

Grace was thrilled to don some Lego armor.

I spent quite a bit of time building Lego ships to send down the river, racing other kids' creations.

 I made a couple of last-minute adjustments.

I set my craft in place.

Then it was time to set it free.  I pushed the lever, and my ship set sail, where it promptly rolled over and got pummeled in the rapids.  Ship-building is harder than it looks.

Back to School

After what seemed like just a few days, summer break was over, and it was time to head back to school to learn more stuff.  I am in my senior year of preschool.  (They call us "dolphins.")

And Grace is a first grader, which is ridiculous, if you ask me!
