Memorial Day Weekend, Part I

On our way home from San Diego, we stopped in Mission Viejo to see some old friends, including Grandma Diane and Grandpa Paul, although Milk Lady and Milk Lady's Husband forgot to break out the camera at that stop, so you'll have to take my word for it.
After saying "Hi" to the grandparents (and goodbye to Dave - more on that later), I hung out with my old pal Shea. We go way back, to when I was a mere baby.

His mom, Heather, is totally cool. We both enjoyed this red ball - me eating it, Heather watching me eat it.

I think I was a little too much lady for Shea to handle. He thought I was trying to eat him, but I was really just going in for an open-mouthed kiss (it's the only kind I know how to give). Milk Lady says I need to work on "subtlety," whatever that is.

Valley Girl

I took a drive out to Studio City to visit with Great Grandpa and Suzanne. They took me to brunch at this awesome place called Vivian's Cafe. (I highly recommend the spoon.) We sat out on the patio and Great Grandpa and Suzanne told me all about their recent trip to the Grand Canyon. I hope someone takes me there someday.

Suzanne's laugh scared me at first, but, as you can see, I quickly realized that she's a pretty cool person and we got along swimmingly.

Me and Seymour Cassel

Sunday, we checked out the Venice Art Walk, which benefits the Venice Family Clinic. Then we stopped by this cool prop shop that's closing in Santa Monica. While we were waiting in line to get in, the actor Seymour Cassel asked Milk Lady's Husband to step aside so he could get a good look at me.

I think Mr. Cassel took a real shine to me. He even gave me a kiss. (That's Grandpa Paul holding me; he and Grandma Diane showed up, too!)

Spending Time with Granny

Granny took me out to lunch on Friday to one of my favorite places, Bob's Big Boy.

Then I banged out a little tune on her piano. I think I may have some talent for this.

A Walk in the Park

I sat up like a big girl on this bench. I didn't fall off. It was cool.

Some dude with no shoes on was feeding nuts to a squirrel. He sang to me. The squirrel almost jumped on my blanket. It was surreal.

Can you tell I ate bananas today? Check out my upper lip. It may be subtle, but it's there.

Technology

Sometimes I just want to phone a friend, and some nice person will pass me her BlackBerry.

Does anyone know how to use this thing?

A Hike with My Boyfriend

On Saturday, I hiked up the Westridge Trail to the Nike Missile Site with my boyfriend, Zach.

I think he was picking up what I was putting down. Don't tell his wife.

He introduced me to his dog, Dax, which I think is a pretty big step in our relationship.

Oh, yeah, a few of my other friends came along, too.

Big Day at the Getty Villa

My entourage and I headed up to the Getty Villa this afternoon.

The weather was beautiful, so we spent some time by the pool.

Then I contemplated the architecture ...

... and some of Mr. Getty's collection. Stop your giggles! This is an antiquity.

Another Breakthrough

Hello! I wanted you guys to be the first to know: Today, for the first time that anyone else is aware of, I rolled over from my back to my tummy.

I saw something that I wanted, so I just went for it. I didn't even really think about what I was doing.

And whaddaya know?!? I got it!
Don't forget to check back often for the latest news about what I've been up to.

I'm Not Even Tired.

I don't know why you guys keep trying to make me take a nap. I AM NOT TIRED. How many times do I have to tell you? I'm crabby because I'm crabby. I AM NOT TIRED.

SEE! NOT TIRED. AT ALL.

Super Party People!

Another Saturday, another great party. Congratulations on your retirements, Grandma and Grandpa! I'm so excited for you guys.

I know the party was for you two, but I had to steal a moment for myself, don't you know! It's not like I meant to hog the spotlight; sometimes it just happens. (BTW, if your plans include a trip to New Zealand, I'd like to come with you. My schedule is wide open.)

A good time was had by all. Especially by me. I was so jazzed by all of the awesome people who attended that I stayed up way past my bedtime.

Dave didn't get to stay for the party, but I comforted him before he got sent off to the doggy spa. I think he was OK about it, despite what he muttered as he was walked out the door.

Manhattan Beach Zoe

Most of the time, I'm not even aware that I'm being photographed. And if you believe that, I have a bridge I'd like to sell to you.

Anyway, today I was driven down to Manhattan Beach to hang out with my bud Zoe. She's pretty cool, but she slept most of the time, even when I was screaming, which I thought was amazing.

Here's Zoe, yes, sleeping. In case you miss the subtlety, she's a Red Sox fan like I am, so I think we are going to be good friends.

After our visit, Milk Lady's Husband carried me down to the beach and we watched some surfers do their thing. I think I'm about ready to catch some waves!

Party People

OMG! Internet's been down since Friday. Bad modem. Anyway, I feel like I've let my fans down, but I'm back now with some fresh material.

This is my pal Hayden, who celebrated his first birthday on Saturday. He's an older man, but I think I'm in love.

His eating skills leave a little something .... (Literally.)

Have I mentioned how much I like balloons?

And slides?

And swings?!? Thanks for the great time, Hayden!
That's all for now. I'm off to a little Cinco de Mayo celebration. Check back soon, 'cause I've been busy, and I've got a lot to talk about. Hasta luego!
