Bloody Well Done!

Congrats to William and Kate! (My invitation must have been lost in the mail.)

Lucky for me, my friends Oliver and Tess invited me over to watch the pomp and circumstance at a reasonable hour. (Their dad is Scottish, by the way.) I thought the ceremony was lovely.

I felt like I was right there. Loved the dress, Kate. I wish you kids well.

Bike, Bike

I mastered this bike thing on Monday at school.

Right foot goes on right pedal. Left foot goes on left pedal. And go.

I'm ready for a two-wheeler now!

Why Food Trucks?

If it seems like I'm always eating, that's because it's true. Hey, I like food.

I found out that the Lobsta Truck was going to be in Santa Monica, so I decided to check it out. That's right: another day, another lobster roll. I also tried the clam chowder. You may be able to see the chowder there on my lower lip. Anyway, the lobster was very good, but the chowder was just so-so.

But it's not like all I do is eat. I also like to work out and play sports. So I burn off all those calories. I think I'm a pretty good dribbler.

Here, I may have accidentally stepped on the ball. No worries; I hopped right back up.

And here's the menu for Lobsta Truck, in case you were wondering.

A Weekend Wrap-Up

Let me backtrack a little bit. Saturday, I headed up to Malibu for brunch with some friends at Coogies. That place is always good for a celebrity sighting or two. It did not disappoint this time, but I'm not naming names. Afterward, I obsessed about the water in the fountain outside.

Later, I had dinner at A-Frame in Culver City. I was pleasantly surprised when my pals Claire and Emma showed up. I think I can say we all enjoyed the Kitchen Fries very much. I totally recommend them.

I taught my friend Jen how to suck her thumb. Turns out, she's a quick learner.

Oh, yeah, I also hung out with these yahoos.

Go Red Sox!

I made my Red Sox debut today -- as a fan!

My pal Zoe came along and we attended our first MLB game together, at Angels Stadium.

I couldn't find my Boston sweatshirt this morning, so Zoe let me borrow one of hers. Thanks, Zoe. You're the best.

There was some intense play, mostly from the Sox.

After a few innings, I was able to relax and just have fun.

The boys from Boston beat the Angels, 7-0, and swept the four game series. It felt good to be a part of Red Sox Nation today. (Sorry Grandma and Grandpa! Better luck next time.)

Out and About

I headed over to Santa Monica this afternoon to take my dad out to lunch.

I just had to check out the lobster roll at Blue Plate Oysterette, because Bon Appetit recommended it so highly. The lobster was about as good as any I've had, but I really pigged out on the sweet potato chips.

It's funny, when I put these sunglasses on, I feel like a celebrity. But, looking at these photos, I realize I look like a hundred-year-old lady. Maybe it's the hat. Oh, well. At least I'm protecting my eyeballs.

Nothing But Net

I'm very serious about hoops.

Very. Serious.

I can palm a regulation-size basketball. Can you?

Havin' A Party

Hi, friends! Yesterday was G. Gr. Jim's birthday!

Can you guess how old he is?
He's in the photo below, bottom right, with Fuffy, Grandpa, and Grandma (well, we may not be calling her that, but we'll talk about that in another post.)

I'll give you a hint: he's not eleven.
That was my guess.

While you give it some thought, here are some party pics - first up is Nancy being a sillypants.

Oh and another one of me, looking cute! How did that get in here?
I like to gaze adoringly at Uncle Kelle sometimes.

That Aunt B cracks me up! The party hats were her idea.

Give up? G. Gr. Jim is 80!!!
Happy Birthday!

Face-plant!

Yes, I did it. I tripped yesterday and scraped my nose. It happens. You can barely see it.

Don't worry. I'm totally fine.

And I finished off the day dining al fresco with my friends Tess and Oliver.

Brush Your Teeth

I got a new monkey toothbrush that makes brushing my teeth infinitely more fun than it used to be.

Yes, you read it correctly, a monkey toothbrush. Sorry you can't see the monkeys in these photos. Trust me, they're hilarious.

While I have your attention, is there anyone out there who would like to take me to see the new movie Rio? I may freak out every time I see the trailer. Just sayin'. I love animated birds.

Gotta get every angle with this thing.

On Top of the World

I spend a lot of time at the park. If I can't find another kid's bike to grab onto, then I like to climb up the jungle gym and scoot down the slides. There's nothing like the wind blowing through your hair as you fly down the shoot.

It takes a little work to get up there, but it's totally worth it.

I enjoy taking in the view before the ride down.

There are some other parts of the jungle gym that are a little more work and a little less fun.

But the climbing hill is pretty cool. Here I am, sitting at the top after an intense ascent.

More Basketball

I'm not kidding: I love basketball.

I prefer a Cinderella story, so I was hoping for a Butler victory tonight. But you have to make baskets if you want to win.

Can I get any closer to the action?

I enjoy the game so much that I made "basketball" my first three-syllable word!

Just Hangin'

So, sometimes I like to levitate in a doorway, waiting for someone to notice me.

Obviously, I couldn't just hang up here by myself, though. Aunt Bearbs helped!

Nose!
