Keepin' It Clean

Today was beautification day at Grace's school.

I worked pretty hard, making sure every surface was spotless.

I scrubbed and scrubbed.  And then I scrubbed some more.

I don't know where Grace was or what she was doing, but I certainly earned my pay, which was half a bagel with cream cheese and a pair of wet shoes.  I hope Grace appreciates my efforts.

Hail to the Cheese

I turned five years old yesterday.  Thanks for all of the birthday wishes!

My party was at this incredible place called Chuck E. Cheese.  There are tons of games, and you win tickets that you can exchange for prizes at the end.  Several of my closest friends helped me celebrate.
Because it was my birthday, I got to experience the Ticket Blaster.  Here, I'm being sealed inside the tube.

I grabbed as many tickets as I could, which wasn't very many, as it turned out.

Aunt B was my stand-in for the dance party with Chuck.  I wasn't feeling what he was putting out, so I let B show us her best air guitar.

I have to say, it's pretty great turning five.  And I totally recommend Chuck E. Cheese.

Oh yeah, Ben came along, too.  He had a good time.

I Love Soccer!

OK, I have to admit something: I am really enjoying playing soccer.  And it turns out I'm good at it.

My team is called the Green Elsas.  We always start out with drills to work on our skills.

Then we play a game against another team.  Here, I'm taking control of the ball.  Today, I scored three goals, but who's counting?

Reese is probably the best player on our team.  She has amazing footwork.

Ben makes a good ball boy.

By the end, I am exhausted.

Coach Troy likes to get us in a huddle before and after the games.  He's a good motivator.  Well played, everybody!

Workin' It

Bimpa has been introducing me to a few career opportunities during our outings together.  I can't wait to start working, as everyone knows.

I like to keep order, so this job sounds interesting.

I enjoy receiving mail, so why not deliver it?

But I like tractors most of all, so I think I may have found my calling!

I Hate Soccer

My first day of soccer did not go well.

I participated in the team huddle -- sort of.

I may have run down the field once during the game.

But most of the time I just sulked on the sidelines and refused to play.  I don't want to wear green.  And I don't want to play soccer.

 Ben seemed kind of interested.

But maybe he was just looking forward to the end-of-game snacks.
