Graduates Day at Disneyland

The day after graduation, Beach Babies hit Disneyland by force.  Emily and I started off by getting Donald Duck's autograph.  Score!

After that, Evelyn and I headed right over to Princess Tiana for another signature.  Then it was off to the big kid rides: Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Matterhorn.  We rode them all, 'cause that's how we roll.  Sorry, no pictures; we were moving too fast!

Later, Jake and I took in the parade.  I enjoyed greeting all the old Disney characters as they strolled down the main drag.

I know I look a mess, but you try keeping yourself together after running around Tom Sawyer Island in 90-degree sunshine.

Captain Hook zeroed right in on Jake and shook his hand -- with his hand, in case you were wondering.

Jake and I really bonded at that parade.

It was a great day.

Graduation (#2)

On Thursday, I graduated from my current preschool, Beach Babies.  Emily and I led the Pledge of Allegiance.  That's Teacher Ashley holding the microphone.

My teachers described me as a bit of a class clown.  I don't know what they base that on.  Anyway, they are apparently going to "miss" my honest assessments, my random hilariousness, and my silly faces.  What can I say, I aim to please.  Here's one more for Teacher Megan.

We are now graduates!

I was so happy that some of my biggest fans were able to attend the ceremony.

Kindergarten, here we come!  But first we're going to Disneyland!

Graduation (#1)

Last Saturday, I graduated from my original preschool, KCC.  The festivities took place in the carousel building on the Santa Monica Pier.  All of my old-school (literally) pals were there to receive their diplomas.

Teacher Autumn helped me get myself together before the ceremony.

Then we all marched in.

Teacher Melanie explained to everyone that, as her student, I never wanted any help.  If I didn't get something the first time, I would get it right the next, and I didn't need someone helping me to do it.  I don't know where I get that from.

Anyway, we all had a great time.  We're off to different schools in a few weeks, starting kindergarten. I'm really going to miss seeing these guys every day.

Ben didn't graduate from anything, but he did get to take some spins on the carousel.

Future's So Bright

Saturday was picture day for pre-school graduation.

Henry and I were the first to arrive.  Even though we are not a couple, we do enjoy each other's company.

And we share an appreciation for reconstructed nature.

Photo shoots involve a lot of waiting around, so my classmates and I reminisced about our years together.

I shared some secrets with Natalia.

Ben kept popping out of the bushes and trying to photo bomb us.  He failed -- epically.

We were all extremely excited to see our good friend Keyla -- no one more so than Ben.  He can't get enough of Keyla.

Anyway, the four musketeers have had some great times together -- some of the best of our lives.  I can't believe we're graduating in a week!

A Wet 'n Wild Weekend

It's Independence Weekend!  It's summer!  It's the best!

We spent the day at Manhattan Beach, where I did some heavy sand work with my good friend Sloane.

As the oldest kid, Grace performed foreman duties.

She's good with the finishing details.

Yesterday, we spent the day with our friends Suriya and Ripley.  It was a perfect day of swimming, barbecue, and fireworks.  I may have gone a little crazy.

I borrowed this fierce car to cruise around the pool and check out the ladies.

Suriya and Grace made their first s'mores over the fire pit.

Who knows what we'll do next!
