Fall Fashions 2012

Fall is here and it's about 80 degrees, so I pulled out all of my season-appropriate clothes.

Touchdown!  Are you ready for some football?

OK, so it's kind of warm still. Where are the cool temperatures I was promised?

No worries. I'll just play a soothing little ditty on my recorder. Who doesn't enjoy that?

Oooh, Mommy just left the room....That is stone cold.

A Busy, Busy Week

On Thursday, my parents and I had a picnic in the park to celebrate my birthday.  There were cupcakes!

Aunt B. came for a visit, and we read books together, among other things. I also got a haircut, in case you didn't notice.

I had another productive swim lesson with Joshua.

And I wrapped up the weekend at my friend Sammie's birthday party.  There was cake!

It was a week to celebrate.

Underwater Daughter

I'm making some substantial progress in the pool.  I've been working a lot on my back float and holding my breath.  And, it turns out, I rock a swim cap.

Here I am with my teacher, Joshua, taking a big plunge.

And in this one I'm coming out of my successful dive.

Yep, I'm pretty proud of my accomplishments in the water.

Dinosaurs and Dora, Oh My!

I'm about to turn three years old, if you can believe it, so my parents threw me a birthday party on Saturday.  I'm not easy to pigeon-hole, so the theme was both Dora the Explorer and dinosaurs.  Best of all, there was a jumpy house, which you already know is one of my favorite things in the whole world.

I could not wait to scramble inside.

My good buddy Lulu joined me for some screaming and some jumping.  (Don't worry, the neighbors did not call the police and the party was not shut down, though I must admit we were pretty loud.)

Oliver and Suriya tried to escape, but it was all in good fun.

For one brief moment, we all settled down for a quick group photo.
It was about 90 degrees in the shade, so we also broke out the splash pool.  Between the jumpy house and the pool, I was beside myself.

And so was Suriya.

We burned a lot of calories screaming, jumping, and splashing, so Samantha, Audrey, and I fortified ourselves with lots of juice and pizza.

 Later, there was chocolate cake.

Did I mention there was chocolate cake?

I hated for the party to end.  Thank you to my friends for spending the afternoon with me.  I hope you all had as great a time as I did!

Swim Practice

If it's bath-time, I just have to get my goggles on, so I can put my face under water and practice my strokes.

Hey, aren't you supposed to be able to see with these?!  Things are a bit foggy.

Oh, here we go.  That's better!

Then it's time to dry off with my puppy towel.
