Bring on the Final Four

What can I say? I love basketball.

I am so ready for this. I've been practicing my dribble.

A Trip to the Salon

I got my first real haircut today. Getting a haircut sounds like getting stitches, and I don't want to go through that again. So I went to a salon that shows cartoons at each seat to distract me from the task at hand.

Here comes the first snip.

I barely noticed what was happening.

And in the end it wasn't so bad; actually, I kind of enjoyed it.

BFFs

We walk alike and talk alike, so it was only a matter of time before Suriya and I showed up to school wearing the same outfit.

Grace, Princess

Sometimes, I like to pop on a tiara and flex my guns.

Don't mess with me! Seriously.

But the weight of responsibility that comes with a tiara can be a little much.

That's when a cute dress and some simple sandals is all I need.

I'm Going to Disneyland!

Today was a big day for me -- and my parents. I skipped school and headed down to Anaheim for my first visit to Disneyland.
Before I talk about all the fun I had, I want to give a proper shout-out to Robert B. Sherman, who passed away today. Coincidentally, I was introduced to his music today during my Disneyland trip. If you don't recognize his name, all I have to say to you is: "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!" And, I will add, "It's a small world, after all." Well done, Sir. Well done. And thank you.

And now here's a recap of how I spent the day. I met Minnie Mouse, who happened to be standing out on her front porch when we were walking by. She's a sweet girl and took time out for a photo with me.

My very first ride at the park, for those of you who are keeping track of such things, was Dumbo, the Flying Elephant. I loved it. I also went on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (scary) and It's a Small World (awesome).

We met up with Aunt Bearbs, who is also a big fan of Disneyland. She and I rode the horses on the carousel and talked politics, while Mom made sure I didn't fall off. I chose Doubloon, the horse with the gold tooth, which allegedly was Walt Disney's wife's favorite. I must say, that's my favorite horse, too.

Later, I competed against my dad in a 3-D arcade shooting game over in California Adventure, where we also watched Muppetvision 3-D and rode on the Silver Zephyr. (I have no comment regarding who won the arcade game.)

Back at Disneyland, I checked out Winnie-the-Pooh's ride and the Haunted Mansion. And I finished the day with a dinner of churros and chocolate ice cream. Well done, Me.

Sun and Sand

Another sunny Sunday, another afternoon at the beach.

My parents and I biked down to Dockweiler, where I chased and got chased by the small waves.

The beach wasn't too crowded; I had my own patch of sand to look for the perfect rock.
