Snow Day

Woo-hoo! This white stuff is amazing.  Where's it been all my life?

I feel like I took a step back in my walking ability, though.

Grace gave me a lesson in sledding before I took a turn.

I really had to concentrate to stay on the platter. The tongue is the key.

Grace kept challenging everyone to a snowball fight.

She's a natural at packing snow into a nice icy sphere.

So look out when she gets her aim on. She might land one in your face.

Just Chillin'

Grace's love of a pool gave me the idea that we should all head to Palm Springs for the weekend, since it was going to be chilly in L.A.

Actually, Bamma and Bampa came up with the idea and said we could come along.

It may look like Grace and Aunt B. are waving to their fans, but they're really preparing to empty the pool.

Look out!  There are a couple of sharks in these waters!

 No more photos, please.

 OK, just one more.

I could get used to this.  Hey, Bamma and Bampa, my weekends are wide open. See you in the desert!

Feeling Hot Hot Hot

The weather made it feel like summer on Sunday, so I headed over to the Santa Monica community beach house for a day of swimming.  And I mean a day of swimming.

I could not wait to get in that pool.

I jumped in about a thousand times.  And I am not exaggerating.

I stayed in the water for hours, with an occasional break for some Pirate's Booty and a bite of apple. It was pretty amazing.

I'm told I fell asleep about three minutes after getting into the car to go home.  It's possible I also suffered a meltdown when told I had to get out of the pool for the last time.

Uh-Oh, Spaghetti-O

This is what I look like at the beginning of a meal.

And this is what I look like about ten seconds in.

You try shoving food in your mouth as fast as you can and see if you don't end up with a smidgeon of sauce on your face.

At least I clean up nice.

Dark 'n Stormy

Grace has been having some problems with mood-regulating.  And, like many people in L.A. on this day,  Grace has her panties in a twist because, after a lifetime without rain, we finally received a deluge.

After splashing through every puddle she could find, all she wanted to do was watch Monster Math Squad on Netflix.  But, of course, the streaming gave her problems, and she had to wait and wait for her shows to start playing.

Wow, it was rough, and such a wait!

But Dad made popcorn, Monster Math Squad finally appeared, and Grace settled into the couch, blissfully unaware that the rain continued to fall outside.
