Roar!

Happy Halloween!  I did a bunch of trick-or-treating throughout the day.  I went as a tiger princess -- that's a tiger with a tiara and a wand.

It got a bit warm inside my costume, so I took off the hood after a while.

I did pretty well for myself.

Ben came along, too, as Winnie-the-Pooh.

I don't think his heart was in it, though.  He fell asleep before getting any candy.  I gave him a piece of mine so he wouldn't look too pathetic.

Very, Very Frightening

You might have thought I was talking about Halloween -- which I'm totally ready for, by the way.

But what's really scary is tummy time.  I do not like it.

I can't wait until I'm able to roll over onto my back by myself.  Then I can kiss tummy time goodbye.

Is This Equal Time?!

So, Grace gave me permission to post a photo of myself today, but then she told me I had to include her review of the movie Frankenweenie, which she saw yesterday -- without me!  Anyway, she gives Frankenweenie a "Pinky Swear", as in she pinky swears it's worth seeing.  According to Grace, if you're a bit twisted, as I can attest she is, and you're a fan of stop-motion animation and/or Tim Burton, you should definitely see this movie. It has horror, humor, and a heart. I wish I'd seen it.

The Fashionista and the Cookie Baker

It's finally feeling like fall, so I brought out my sheepskin boots.  I am officially an L.A. Lady.

I generally don't like to talk politics on my blog, but this photo gives a clue about which way I lean.

Sometimes I like to wear my brother's clothes, like these snap-up pajamas in size 3-months that I've repurposed as an over-long sweater.  Perfecto!
(Feel free to use my fashion tips.)

This afternoon, I made chocolate chip cookies with my dad. I love cookies.

I did most of the work, including the stirring of the batter, but I let my dad do some of the easier tasks and made sure he didn't drop anything on the floor.

As compensation, I may have let him sneak one of the cookies before it hit the oven.  Just one, though.

So Satisfied

Before my sister gets back -- she's been hanging out at some place called "Disneyland" -- I wanted to post a couple of pictures of me.  (I've discovered Grace can be a real photo pig.)  Anyway, this is me after a nice home-cooked meal.

And this is me getting my diaper changed after that nice home-cooked meal.

Advantage Grace

 Not so fast, Ben.
First, you can't just take over my blog.  Since I'm such a good sharer, I'm willing to let you tell your story here, but not if it's at my expense.

Second, if there's something I'm serious about, it's reading.  I'm a life-long subscriber to the New Yorker. I particularly enjoyed the recent cartoon issue, which had interesting pieces by A. & R. Crumb and Joe Dator.  I'm also a fan of Dr. Seuss, P. D. Eastman, and Mo Willems, of course.  My point is don't mess with me, Ben.

Week One

Just try looking into my eyes.  You can't do it.  Keep trying.

I had my first bath yesterday.  I did not care for it.

As for my sister, she is seriously ridiculous.  I received these shorts as a gift today, and Grace immediately had to put them on.  And if she's so potty-trained, why is she wearing a diaper?!
The too-small pumpkin hat?  Also mine.  As if she doesn't have enough stuff of her own.

Game Change

Hi!  It's me.  Ben.  Don't tell Grace, but I'm taking over.  She had a good run, but now it's my turn.

Oh, sure, you'll still get the same adorable photos of goofy Gracie that you've all come to love and expect.

But you're going to see a lot more of me, doing the things I do best.  Let me know if you're not getting enough of me.  I aim to please.

World, Rocked

Well, as everyone probably knows already, I have a new baby brother as of today. They say he's a baby, but to me Ben looks like an old man. It's hilarious.

Anyway, there's no turning back; we've decided to keep him.

Cheers, Ben! Welcome to my world. I think you're going to like it.
