School's out this week, so we took a road trip north, meeting up with Aunt B. and Uncle Kelle, and camping near El Capitan State Beach in Santa Barbara County. Here, I'm sitting outside of the "stick tent," the tent where I collected all of my sticks. Of course, no one slept in the stick tent.
Grace did some light jogging one morning when we headed down to the beach.
We were looking for the tidal pools, but all we found were these random rocks.
Aunt B. and I worked on building towers out of some of the smaller stones.
Uncle Kelle built the one in the foreground here. It's not as big as it appears.
We played in the water, but it was a bit chilly for my tastes.
Grace acted like she'd won something. She thinks everything is a competition.
It was rough going to get over some of those rocks.
Back at the campsite, I waited for some grub. Where's my grub?
I think we all had a great time. I, for one, can't wait for the next camping trip!
