Little Surfer Girl

We're back from Nantucket now, but we still have a lot of photos to share.

Grace spent some time in the waves at Cisco with her Boogie board.

She waited for the perfect wave.

 She could not be stopped.

She may have closed her eyes in anticipation of a wipeout.

But she rode all the way to shore.

Then she was ready for the next one, with an assist from Dad.

 Perfect!

"Let's do it again! And again!! And again!!!"

Keeping Fit on Vacation

Even when I'm on vacation, I like to keep to my fitness regimen.

I lift weights every chance I get. These abs don't just happen.

Grace tends to slack off.  She's into the more serene activities, like searching for minnows and hermit crabs.

And eating Doritos with her cousins.

Occasionally, she'll catch a few waves with her Boogie board.

And, since I can't be working out 24/7, I will turn to the finer arts now and again.

My Latest Greatest Day Ever

Today, I got to ride in one of those amazing bucket trucks, in the bucket part!

These photos don't do justice to how fantastic this ride was, but check out the joy on my face.

Mom thought it was pretty cool, too.

We went as high as the length of both booms extended. We could see the ocean!

I wish I could have stayed up there all day.

Giddyap!

These photos are from a couple of months ago, but they're still worth posting, obviously.

Have you ever seen a more impressive cowboy?  Clearly, the answer is no.

I'm the rootinest, tootinest rider west of the Mississippi!

School's Out for Summer!

We did it!  We made it through a year of elementary school -- for me that meant transitional kindergarten.

I even received an award for being able to "read with expression and enthusiasm!"  (Of course, I can.)

Time to make some trouble.

Peace out! Until August.

Crazy Youngsters

A master of disguise.

A group of hooligans on the loose in Venice on Sunday afternoon.

Who could this little guy be?
Hint: He loves garbage trucks and has the confidence to rock a pink sparkle hat.

Cars and Trucks and Cars and Trucks

I attended the Culver City Car Show today.

Whoa! There were so many cars and so many trucks.

I especially liked checking out the trucks.

This car was about my size, but I don't have a driver's license.

I spent a significant amount of time in the local fire station.  And I was impressed by the old-timey fire engine outside.

I would have bought a few of these model cars, particularly the California Highway Patrol and the LAPD ones, but somebody forgot my money.
